SAEPRIS & SAECONIX Overview

What is SAEPRIS?

SAEPRIS stands for South African Enterprise Portfolio Registry Intelligent Systems.

It is the administrative and facilitation organization that oversees enterprise compliance, support facilitation, and integration across public and private sector development programs. SAEPRIS operates nationally and is supported by government departments, enterprise development organizations, and the Public Price Foundation.

What is SAECONIX?

SAECONIX is the technical user and data system managed by SAEPRIS.

It functions as a central enterprise registration database that links a business to:

  • Government agencies (e.g., CSD, CIPC, SARS, DTI, SEDA)
  • Public Price Africa (PPA) business acceleration programs
  • Funding institutions (grants, loans, venture capital)
  • Machinery and production equipment providers
  • Export and manufacturing support networks

How Do SAEPRIS and SAECONIX Work?

  1. Enterprise Registration
Businesses register on SAECONIX, creating a unique Enterprise Profile Portfolio. This includes:
    • Company details (CIPC, BEE, Tax, banking)
    • Operational sectors
    • Ownership structure
    • Compliance level (verified or pending)
    • Needs (funding, machinery, training, export readiness)
  2. Verification and Support Matching
    SAEPRIS verifies the business through:
    • Cross-checks with CSD (Central Supplier Database)
    • Tax clearance and business status checks
    • Sector-based assessments
Once verified, SAEPRIS matches enterprises with opportunities based on their profile:
    • Equipment or funding grants
    • Development training programs
    • Export readiness support
    • Investment facilitation
  3. Integration with National & Continental Programs
